Verdi, Bizet, Puccini & Dracula – Immling is on stage!

For four weeks, love, suffering, and death have been experienced on the Immling opera stage. With "La forza del destino" – the power of fate, "Carmen" and "Manon Lescaut", three high-profile operas are on the program. Verdi, Bizet, or Puccini, music lovers have the agony of choice. Guests are thrilled by the performances and the special atmosphere on the green hill of Upper Bavaria. Many performances have been sold out for months! The press, whether regional or national, has only positive reviews. The festival has long been known, even reaching Baden. Dietrich Mack wrote on July 3, 2025, in the Mittelbadischen Presse:

"Many orchestral musicians and choristers come from Georgia, the soloists from all over the world. […] Cornelia von Kerssenbrock has them all firmly in her grip. She conducts, clearly visible to everyone, precise and expressive, with a sure instinct for structure, sound balance, and dynamics." […] "Anyone who wants to experience the success of a madman, a unique atmosphere, and operas at a high musical level should travel to Immling! For many, it has become an addiction."

OVB/ Münchner Merkur also highlighted Joseph Dahdah on June 30, 2025:

"The Lebanese tenor, who last impressed here as Radames, delivers a brilliant performance in his second Immling summer and inspires himself with his two partners to ever new heights."

"Manon Lescaut" is rather rarely found on the schedules, and even in Immling, there was initial hesitation because this opera is incredibly difficult to cast. But with Maria Natale and Vasyl Solodkyy, an ideal cast has been found.

"For with Maria Natale and Vasyl Solodkyy, you encounter an absolute Puccini dream couple here. The American truly brings everything needed for a Manon…. It couldn't be better"

– this was read in OVB and Münchner Merkur on July 7, 2025.

Also not to be forgotten is the annual musical from the Akademie Immling. This year, the opera stage transforms into a vampire castle: Count Dracula invites you to dance. In the Passauer Neuen Presse, it was stated on July 18, 2025:

"A grandiose production by Verena von Kerssenbrock, who once again managed to highlight with palpable love for the genre and for the young talents what makes great music theater."

Only until August 10 do you have the opportunity to indulge in arias at this year's festival and enjoy the wonderful nature of Immling.
