Festival season in Immling has begun!

With Giuseppe Verdi's opera thriller "La forza del destino" – the power of fate, the 29th edition of the Immling Festival kicked off on Saturday evening.
"As always in Immling: it is something extraordinary," says former Minister of Arts and Sciences Wolfgang Heubisch. "The festival is incredibly shaped by the commitment of Ludwig Baumann and Cornelia von Kerssenbrock. We are always happy when we can visit the green hill of Upper Bavaria again. In wonderful weather, nearly 400 opera lovers made their way to Immling. The alphorn players from Bernau welcomed the guests. And on the piazza, one could spot a few faces painted white, as the choir members took a breath of fresh air before the love drama of fanaticism, revenge, and murder took its course.
District Administrator Otto Lederer was fascinated. "There are really great protagonists, and what always excites me is this community choir, so many people brought to the stage, that is impressive." And Alois Loferer, Mayor of Bad Endorf, adds: "It's great to know that you are in a talent forge and can listen to who the stars of tomorrow are." Cheers, enthusiasm, and prolonged applause marked the opening of the Immling Festival.
